What we believe
Jesus Christ is the center of our worship and our hope.
Scripture and confession
The Bible is God’s inspired Word, without error, and directs our lives. The creeds and Lutheran confessions faithfully explain it.
God and Jesus Christ
We confess the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit: one God. Jesus, truly God and truly human, died for our sins, rose, and reigns. He returns to judge and give eternal life.
Sin and salvation
Sin separates us from God. Salvation is his gift through faith in Christ, not our achievement. God’s Spirit creates faith through the Gospel.
The Church
God gathers believers through his Word and Sacraments. We need his mercy; faith produces loving service.
Baptism and the Lord’s Supper
In Baptism, including infant Baptism, God joins water to his promise of forgiveness and new life. In Communion, Christ gives his true body and blood for forgiveness.
Repentance and Christian life
We turn from sin and trust Christ’s forgiveness. We cherish every human life, honor governing authorities, and receive marriage as God’s lifelong union of husband and wife.
